Pewsey Vale School is situated in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside. This blog brings together the creative work students produce on a daily basis within the Art Department. Teaching Year 7 through 11, students engage in a range of disciplines from Fine Art to Sculpture. All students experience Painting, drawing, textiles, sculpture, printmaking, photography and mixed media work within their broad Art and Design curriculum. In Year 10 students have the option of pursuing Art Textiles or Art and Design Edexcel GCSE courses. Students often chose to then study an Art subject at College, and further education.
We have recently collaborated with Wiltshire and Swindon Local studies Centre, which saw Year 10 students work with professional photographer Penney Ellis, in documenting The Crofton Beam Engines. A touring exhibition of the students work is underway, the initial exhibit took place at the Pewsey Heritage Centre in September 2017. Please look at blog posts for updates and recent images.
